In the first quarter of this year, seven of the top ten calls for BSO service were in west Oakland Park. Of the 1,435 total calls, 984 came from seven locations in west Oakland Park: the Wawa, the CVS on west OPB, Home Depot, Lowe’s, the Grand Hotel, 7-Eleven on Powerline & OPB, and the Flea Market at 31st and OPB. 300 of the 463 emergency 911 calls were also at these locations – an average of 5.1 EMERGENCY CALLS PER DAY at only seven locations in west Oakland Park.
